film_reel…okay folks, I’m going to give a quick review of the EVIL DEAD remake “without” any spoilers. Wish me luck….

So, three generations of Sniders take off for a “guy day” and catch the EVIL DEAD remake. We come out with mixed feelings about the flick.

Shock value earns an easy A. Plenty of “eek” moments throughout the movie. However, it did lack on actual scares. This re-imagining of the movie took it from what could have easily been a solid, terrifying remake and put it into the realm of splatter porn. Don’t know what that is, kiddies? Continue reading

post_iconWow, what a critique group meeting.

We had a few changes in the attendee roster.  We lost Hollie to the Sunday group (a big congrats to my muse on her promotion).  On the up side, we added Tiffany and Shelly to our roster.  Even though most of us know each other, I was sure that things might be a little awkward and take a meeting or two for everyone to fall into a rhythm.

…I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Personally, I blame Larry and the infamous “Horn Dog” character in his submission.  He had us cracking up, seeing how low-brow the jokes could go.  I can safely say the next submission’ll have us dyin’.  We punched through a total of three subs and laughed the whole time.

Times are good.

daffy-duckWell folks, I’ve been threatening to fix my website for a while.  I’m sure you’ve noticed the longer and longer delays with each post.  The up side is that the site’s now repaired and working correctly.  The down side, I still have to finalize the pages and replace a bit of content.  With luck it’ll be back up to par over the next few days (along with several posts done over the last few months that never posted correctly).

Getting closer to rebuild time for the ol’ website.  Only a few more shovelfuls of…stuff…to sift through.  Then it’s back to images and insanity.

Argh!  My short and sweet update. My WordPress website setup has been clunking along for over a year, but now I can’t add media items.  Looks like I’ll be re-installing next week after I take care of a couple of fires.

Oh well, I’ve been stalling on it long enough.

Left my regular holster with my shooting gear and was forced to wear an annoying backup tonight that got caught up on a folding chair – nearly shot myself in the ass. If anyone’s going to shoot my posterior it’s going to be the missus…at least that’s what she says.

I’m “officially” retiring this POS holster the next time I go shooting (gonna put more holes in it than a Missouri road sign).
