So what kind of a husband would I be if I didn’t plug my wife’s writing and editing accomplishments?
Here’s the test proof for the anthology, “Live and Let Undead,” edited by Hollie Snider. There’s a couple of tweeks the cover artist wants to do to the zombie, but overall, this is the cover.
The funny part is Hollie’s not a huge zombie fan. So why would she jump on the chance to edit an anthology of the walking dead? The response when I teased the hell ouf of her was simple, “It’s a different take on zombies – not your typical flesh-munching frenzy. I like that.”
My religious horror story, “Fellowship,” has been accepted by Elizabeth LaFond for publication in Knightwatch Press’ “Ultimate Angels” anthology.

. . . hmmm, what could go wrong on a Sunday?
Hollie and I ran out to a couple of cemeteries for some last minute stock for a photo project (yeah – I know – shut up already). We pull into the 26th street cemetery (I forget the name) and the Mrs. steps on the brakes and says in her best little-girl-at-Christmas voice, “Gimme the camera! Gimme the camera! Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! She snapped a few pics off then let me take over.
Here’s 4 bucks kickin’ back in the quietest place in town and being pestered by magpies.
Ever wondered how the world would end if you could decide? This anthology takes the concept of The Apocalypse a step further. 24 authors picked their own time zone to destroy. Each story is an original take on the apocalypse, seriously how fun would 24 stories about giant chinchillas eating us really be? These stories, including Henry Snider’s “Stormfront,” will make you wonder if the end comes – what happens, and will most definitely give you ideas that never occurred to you before.
. . . end of the world and I didn’t even do it with mauling maniac munchkins. Dorothy would be proud.
ANTHOCON PANEL INFORMATION
Just a heads-up for those of you attending ANTHOCON in November, Hollie and I will be on a few panels:
1: GETTING YOUR SHORT STORY PUBLISHED WITH THE SMALL PRESS – Both Hollie and I along with Peter Giglio, David Bernstein, Bill Tucker, Gregory L. Norris and moderated by Charles Day.
2: EVIL JESTER PRESS “HELP WANTED: TALES OF ON-THE-JOB TERROR” HOW AN ANTHOLOGY COMES TOGETHER – Both Hollie and I, Charles Day, Bill Tucker, Gregory L. Norris (and potentially a few others)
3: A WRITERS WORKSHOP WITH EDITOR HENRY SNIDER – I’ll be moderating and having David Bernstein and a few others on the panel with me (making my list now and checking it twice – only the naughty get in >;-D ). We’ll be going over the good, the bad, and the ugly about critique groups and the best ways for writers to tighten their work before submitting to publications.
Well, folks, I’ve got some fantastic news. Starting sometime in September I’ll be officially on staff at Evil Jester Press as an editor. A big thanks to Pete Giglio (my new boss), Charles Day (the publishing house owner) and, of course, to the Mrs. – Hollie (who taught me how to edit with the aid of a blood-red pen and swing of “Mister Stabby.”

Drugs . . . prostitution . . . vampirism – what’s not to love?
Had pals Rick, JT and Marie over for game night last evening. Rick brought a game called “Betrayal at House on the Hill.” Never heard of it. Wasn’t sure about it. But when you let me play the creepy-assed little girl with a demonic teddy bear – I’m in.
. . . and what about the teens, Josh and Kait? They blew us off in favor of an evening filled with guns, explosions and generally unacceptable video games. Go figure . . . .
Oh yeah – and I almost forgot – mexican dip, beer, hard cider and Hollie’s 3 gallons (that’s not a typo, folks) of homemade salsa.
Ohhhhhhh, life is good.
